goong
Chae Gyeong leads a seemingly normal high school life, except not everyone goes to the same high school as the Crown Prince of Korea, who at that time was being pressured into marriage. Their initial meetings, including one time where Chae Gyeong overheard Shin proposing to a girl, were very eventful and resulted in them disliking each other. What they did not know is that the previous King of Korea, Shin's grandfather, as an act of friendship towards Chae Gyeong's own granfather, promised marriage between them. They eventually reluctantly agreed to this arranged marriage and both learn just how easy married life can be.

   why goong?
Goong is a manhwa created by Park So Hee. Other than the amazing art, the story contains the right mix of humor, suspense, angst and, of course, romance. The manhwa artist makes such good use of art to convey emotions, especially during the "funny" scenes in which the characters are usually drawn into "ugly, chibi" characters which usually induce more laughter from the readers.

   how can I read it?
Goong is currently on its 10th Volume, but is expected to be completed within 12 volumes. It is currently being scanlated by Korean-Manhwa, but the first 2 volumes were translated by Janimes. Recently, it has apparently been licensed by IceKunion for a North American release. Korean-Manhwa is expected to drop this project due to the licensing.

If you would like to read this manhwa in its native language, or just interested in purchasing it, you can find it listed at AladdinUS.

   drama?
Goong has also been released as a korean drama directed by Hwang In Roe and broadcasted by MBC. So far, it has been pretty good in following the manhwa, although it often switches the sequences of certain events around to fit the plot. Although the actors are mostly "new" stars, they have all done a wonderful job in presenting Goong characters to life, making the drama even more enjoyable, since there's hardly any boring scenes. The cinematography, costumes and sets are also excellent, and adds color and more feeling to the drama.
